Foundation repair quote documentation with crack notes, waterproofing scope, and review checklist

AI quote review

AI Foundation Quote Analyzer

Upload a foundation repair or waterproofing proposal and review whether the document clearly explains scope, stabilization, water control, payment terms, warranties, and missing details.

Clarity check

Review the document, not the contractor

  • Checks foundation repair and waterproofing quote wording.
  • Highlights clear, vague, missing, and uncertain documentation.
  • Creates follow-up questions for scope, payment, access, and warranty.
  • Keeps AI settings and keys on the server.

This tool does not diagnose the house, approve the repair, rank contractors, or judge pricing.

Check whether a quote is clear enough to compare

Foundation repair and waterproofing quotes can be hard to compare because one proposal may spell out engineering, permits, pier counts, drainage, sump discharge, restoration, and warranties while another uses broad language like complete system or as needed. This analyzer turns the uploaded document into a clarity report so you know what to ask next.

The result is intentionally narrow. It reviews only the written documentation. It does not say whether the repair is necessary, whether the price is fair, whether the contractor is good, or whether the scope satisfies engineering, code, or permit requirements.

Review areas

What the analyzer looks for

Foundation scope

Structural area, crack or movement descriptions, stabilization method, quantities, engineering responsibility, permits, access, and restoration.

Waterproofing scope

Water source, drainage approach, interior or exterior system, sump basin, discharge route, moisture control, and maintenance details.

Contract terms

Payment schedule, financing language, deposits, change orders, exclusions, completion milestones, and warranty limits.

Comparison gaps

Vague phrases, missing line items, unsupported assumptions, and follow-up questions that can make two quotes hard to compare.

Upload one estimate

Review foundation or waterproofing proposal clarity before comparing quotes.

The analyzer checks whether the document clearly describes structural scope, cracks, stabilization, waterproofing systems, payment terms, warranties, inclusions, exclusions, and follow-up questions. It does not score the contractor, judge pricing, or decide whether work is needed.

Methodology

How the quote clarity review works

The upload route accepts one PDF, JPG, or PNG, checks file type and size, extracts selectable PDF text when available, and immediately returns a structured report. If AI analysis is enabled on the server, the extracted text is sent with a strict structured-output schema. Browser code never receives the API key.

Local rules and AI-assisted review use the same scope categories. The report marks categories as clear, vague, not mentioned, or cannot determine, then turns those findings into plain-English questions and a print-ready comparison report.

FAQ

AI Foundation Quote Analyzer FAQs

What does the AI Quote Analyzer check?

It checks whether a foundation repair or waterproofing quote clearly documents the scope, repair method, quantities, exclusions, payment terms, warranty language, and follow-up questions.

Does it tell me if the quoted price is fair?

No. It does not judge price fairness, contractor quality, repair necessity, engineering adequacy, code compliance, or permit requirements.

What should a foundation repair quote explain?

A clearer foundation repair quote usually names the affected structural area, crack or movement observations, stabilization method, pier or brace count, engineering responsibility, permits, access, restoration, payment terms, and warranty limits.

What should a waterproofing quote explain?

A clearer waterproofing quote usually names the water source, interior or exterior drainage system, sump basin, discharge route, moisture-control details, exclusions, payment schedule, and warranty limits.

Are uploads saved?

No account or persistent quote storage is added here. The uploaded file is processed for the request so the report can be returned.
